A Biltmore Estate Wedding by Jen Yuson Photography

By Keri

Hello and happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Krista and I spent lots of time this weekend working on the etsy shop and we can’t wait to share the results with you! Our next wedding comes to us from Jen Yuson Photography. A gorgeous bride, a beautiful venue and the amazing styling of Shay Brown Events and Palettes of Perfection make this wedding one to remember.

From the photographer:

The Grove Park Inn, the Biltmore Estate…these creme de la creme venues of the Southeast were the setting for Ashley and Zak’s wedding. Since the ceremony was going to be at sunset, they chose to see each other before to get some portraits.Their ceremony at the Walled Garden next to the Biltmore Estate was just as beautiful and concluded with doves being released into the dusky sky. It was a very chilly day but the girls were all prepared with pretty pink pashminas. Ashley’s best friend walked her two dogs down the aisle.

A Rustic North Carolina Wedding by Melissa Lynn Hunt Photography

By Krista

These past few weeks, I have been super inspired by lavender (thanks to my friend Jess giving us some lavender bunches from her wedding)! So when this wedding came our way, with it’s beautiful lavender boutonnieres, bouquets and decor, I knew we had to share it! Captured by Melissa Lynn Hunt Photography, we love the rustic touches, bridesmaids’ ensembles, amazing ceremony site and stunning bride!

From the gorgeous bride, :

Justin and I were introduced in the summer of 2008, at a dirt track in Central Ohio. Since meeting him, I have never looked back. He is amazing and I was so happy to say yes to his proposal on 11/26/11. Six short months later we were married! We knew we wanted a laid-back, outdoor, simple wedding, and Adaumont Farm couldn’t have been more perfect! This place is amazing, a fairytale from top to bottom and it just happens to be located about a mile down the road from our home, in Trinity, NC.

The details of the wedding were what made it come to life. With heavy DIY mixed with absolute labor of love, it seemed like almost every aspect of our wedding was contributed by a family or friend.  For instance, one of my bridesmaids, Jenifer, helped me design our cupcake stand, and it turned out amazing! My mother and niece created all the fabric banners and table runners. They also got together all the sweet treats for our Candy Bar. We really had unbelievable support from every member of both of our families and when our big day finally arrived, I could not believe all of the beauty! Our hard work had paid off and every last detail fell into place. Because our wedding was held at the farm all of the bridesmaids wore cowboy boots to show the casual, fun, and simple style of our wedding. We used fresh lavender, from Sunshine Lavender Farm that I got to pick out and cut myself, for the bouquets, boutonnieres and center pieces.

May 26, 2012 is a time in our lives that we will never forget! We had an amazing wedding party, our family and friends were so much fun, the décor was fabulous, and everyone we worked with was outstanding in making our day possible. Our wedding was absolutely a dream come true, everything turned out better than I could have ever imagined!

A Casual Claxton Farm Wedding by Brita Photography {Part 1}

By Keri

Some weddings we receive are just so amazing we can not fit all the gorgeousness into one post. It’s a good problem to have, really. This casual farm wedding beautifully captured by Brita Photography is undeniably one of those weddings. This husband and wife photography duo described the gorgeous wedding venue, Claxton Farm, as literally taking their breath away and once you see these photos, I think you will agree. Enjoy part one, the ceremony, and don’t forget to check back for all the amazing reception details in part two tomorrow.

From the photographer…

Nick and I have been so excited to photograph Corin and Brett’s farm wedding in Asheville, North Carolina. Their venue, Claxton Farm is over 500 acres of beautiful rolling hills as far as you can see. We drove up to Weaverville, where Claxton Farm is, a few days before their wedding to scope out the venue. Wow, it literally takes your breath away. The winding, gravel road leads to a beautiful pasture, where the ceremony was held, between the mountains. I knew our memory cards were going to fill up faster than usual. The reception was filled with DIY details – Corin made the cute place cards, and name charts hanging on the barn wall and the tables had the most beautiful rustic and vintage centerpieces. Their cake even sat on a piece of wood, with their names carved on the side. It was perfect. Corin and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done at Suraj Salon, before heading to the venue. They wore navy blue dresses with cowboy boots (Corin wore cowboy boots, too!), and the groomsmen wore jeans, khaki suit jackets and matching navy blue ties. After Corin and and Brett said I Do, we wandered all around the farm taking the most incredible pictures! Everything was perfect – the golden sunshine, the scenery, and the love between Corin and Brett. We hope you love Corin and Brett’s pictures as much as we loved shooting their wedding.
