These past few weeks, I have been super inspired by lavender (thanks to my friend Jess giving us some lavender bunches from her wedding)! So when this wedding came our way, with it’s beautiful lavender boutonnieres, bouquets and decor, I knew we had to share it! Captured by Melissa Lynn Hunt Photography, we love the rustic touches, bridesmaids’ ensembles, amazing ceremony site and stunning bride!

Justin and I were introduced in the summer of 2008, at a dirt track in Central Ohio. Since meeting him, I have never looked back. He is amazing and I was so happy to say yes to his proposal on 11/26/11. Six short months later we were married! We knew we wanted a laid-back, outdoor, simple wedding, and Adaumont Farm couldn’t have been more perfect! This place is amazing, a fairytale from top to bottom and it just happens to be located about a mile down the road from our home, in Trinity, NC.

The details of the wedding were what made it come to life. With heavy DIY mixed with absolute labor of love, it seemed like almost every aspect of our wedding was contributed by a family or friend.  For instance, one of my bridesmaids, Jenifer, helped me design our cupcake stand, and it turned out amazing! My mother and niece created all the fabric banners and table runners. They also got together all the sweet treats for our Candy Bar. We really had unbelievable support from every member of both of our families and when our big day finally arrived, I could not believe all of the beauty! Our hard work had paid off and every last detail fell into place. Because our wedding was held at the farm all of the bridesmaids wore cowboy boots to show the casual, fun, and simple style of our wedding. We used fresh lavender, from Sunshine Lavender Farm that I got to pick out and cut myself, for the bouquets, boutonnieres and center pieces.

May 26, 2012 is a time in our lives that we will never forget! We had an amazing wedding party, our family and friends were so much fun, the décor was fabulous, and everyone we worked with was outstanding in making our day possible. Our wedding was absolutely a dream come true, everything turned out better than I could have ever imagined!
