From the bride-to-be, Carly:

Bobby proposed to me on a random Friday in October, creating his own “Love Actually” moment, using giant poster board signs that ended with a ring. We quickly got to planning, and decided to get married in my hometown of Hershey, Pennsylvania, aka “The Sweetest Place on Earth”. Our style was hard to pin down, and ended up part classic, part rustic, and part preppy. We used shades of lavender, gray, and navy. My sister in law likes to joke that it was “clasual”- classy casual. Our venue, the Picard Grand Pavilion at the Hershey Country Club, fit that description perfectly. After we chose the venue things fell into place, with a LOT of help from family and friends. My mom was especially invaluable since she lives in Pennsylvania and we are in Indiana. In addition to meeting with vendors, she also made the burlap table runners, kissing balls for the church pews, my garter, and more. She also helped me incorporate a few specials details into my bouquet, including lace from her wedding veil, and a pin from my grandmother who has passed away. Bobby and I have two favorite memories from the day. The first is our first look. It was such a special, private moment and it really helped us calm down and enjoy the rest of the day. And the pictures are amazing! Our second favorite memory was actually a surprise planned by my bridesmaids and other friends. They successfully planned, choreographed, and executed and amazing flash mob to Bruno Mars’ “Marry You” without Bobby or I ever expecting a thing. It was incredible!
